Wow. So, I'm a blogger now...
I get to be a famous writer!! Woohoo! ..Right.
I don't even like to write half the time. Matter-a-fact, I am currently avoiding a research report due in 4 weeks. (yikes) Yes I'm a student- NO not highschool! Though somedays it would be nice to just be a kid again.
It is now well past midnight and I can't sleep, as usual. I was diagnosed with graves disease. I just received the lovely Radioactive Iodine treatment the doctors rave about! OMG! Seriously?! They make it sound like you take a magical pill and your worries (and the effects of the disease) are over. WRONG. I am tired, and I don't mean the partied last night two hours of sleep work-day tired, I mean I sleep 10-15 hours and I yawn all day. I can't do more than one or two things around the house without having to sit down! And I have horrid heart-burn. Which (now that I'm looking all over on-line) I found out they don't know whether that's a side-effect of the radiation or the iodine. When will it end?! I wanted to know just that. So I called my doctor to see what could be done about these effects. Guess what! Nothing can be done! Lmao! I just have to be tired, and be weak, and be groggy for at least two months until my thyroid is completely dead. On top of the "hyper-effects" of Grave's including sleeplessness (trouble falling asleep, trouble waking, shakiness, anxiety, etc.
I'm good though!! Don't get me wrong! I've had it for a while, learned to live with it even... Until it got too bad. I guess I just needed to vent. I didn't even know it until I started writing.
Well.. Thx for listening! Next time I'll have happier rants.. Promise! lol
Feel free to reply if you have graves disease, went through the treatment, or had surgery. I'd love to hear about your experience!!
